Case history - 24 |
Having completed the repair and filling of the rotted area at the top of the deadwood section another area was found this time right at the base of the deadwood area. |

This also extended quite deep and a stainless steel double-ended carving tool (used for sculpture work on clay, wax or other soft materials) was used to dig out the rotted wood.
The cavity was then painted with Ronseal wood hardener and once this had dried was filled with the epoxy putty. It may well be that some other treatment may have to be carried out to blend the colour of the epoxy putty in with that of the adjacent deadwood by the application of some artists paints. |
